Myself, hubby and daughter Jess, only had the one night with Brian and Tom, which was a real shame. We were in Brighton to see Bill Bailey, and it was a mid week gig, so therefore not able to take more time sight seeing, BIll Bailey is Jess's hero, and he was fantastic.
I spent several hours looking at hotel web sites, but there was something about the Avalon that made me want to keep revisiting it, and it was here we stayed.............and it was all fantastic. If you want a hotel with identical rooms, plastic waiters and staff and sub standard food.......don't go to the Avalon!!
The rooms are great, with a real individual, personal touch, lovely, comfy beds, state of the art tv/dvd equipment. When Brian showed us to our rooms, he couldn't have been more helpful or more pleasant, we took to him instantly. The breakfast is fantastic, you need to give yourself time to really enjoy it.
The location is great, so close to everything. Jess had the 4 poster room all to herself and she loved it, (although we have since found out that she shared it with a pig called Henry). The tariff is very, very competitive, we totally loved it, and will definitely be staying at the Avalon the next time we are in Brighton.
