I have just returned from a four night stay at the Whitburn Lodge, having attended a three day conference at the Brighton Centre, which was within easy walking distance.

Proprietors Louise and Phil were the perfect hosts, and made our stay a most pleasant experience. It is such a refreshing change to receive friendly and courteous service in a time when so often such standards are lacking.

The property has recently had a complete makeover in an elegant but simple style. I loved the showers, taps and drains that worked as they should! So often I have stayed at establishments, even 5 star, that were seriously deficient in this department.

Breakfast was superb! Beautifully prepared, excellent ingredients and great choice.

Well, there you have it - if you are looking for a great guest house in Brighton, then look no further!

What a great place to stay. We had a very fine B&B experience made all the more better by our warm and friendly welcoming hosts, Louise and Phil – what a charming, friendly and helpful couple.

Our room at the front was spacious and very tastefully decorated; the décor was modern and simple, warm and relaxing – the beds are very comfortable indeed. I think the combination of the lodge/room itself and the friendly hosts make for the ideal mix for a get away weekend break like ours.

Their local knowledge of bars, restaurants and places to see and tips on “how best to” made it an incredibly pleasant stay.

Thank you for making it a chilled and relaxing weekend break. We will definitely go back there again – I would heartily recommend it to anyone.

Extremely friendly hosts, on arrival we were offered a glass of wine! Can't recommend enough, ideal for couples.

The Whitburn Lodge is a wonderful place to stay and perfect in every way! Fantastic, welcoming owners, stylish rooms and delicious breakfasts.
