We were a little worried about using the railway station car park as we have heard ' its only 5 minutes away' so many times. In this case it would have more accurately described as 1 minute.
Both the public areas and the rooms are fine although our bathroom was cold (no visible source of heating)
Breakfast is very good and excellent value.
Service at the bar whilst we were there was excellent.
We had one evening meal & despite there being only one other table occupied the service was poor, down to lack of training rather than lack of effort I think & the waitress was very pleasant but had no idea of service (steak knives not offered, table not cleared between courses etc.).
The front desk manager is not the sharpest, arranged for us to be a delivered a newspaper we hadn't ordered & when it was given back to her on checking out took it back from us but didn't think to remove it from the bill. She also wanted my credit card before giving me the bill. So not the greatest service.
All in all worth the £69.00 per night we paid, although the £10.00 car parking put the price up a little.
Next time would probably pay more for a hotel closer to the centre of Brighton as this one is a long walk from the centre
