We went for my father-in-law's birthday. It was my first experience with North African cuisine and I was not disappointed. I got the Tajine Barania (Stew lamb shank with chick peas, aubergine, oven baked potatoes and fresh coriander) on the recommendation of my husband and it was fantastic. It was very savoury, like a North African take on a roast dinner. It hit many of the same spots while being very different and exotic at the same time. The wine was amazing. I recommend the Algerian red. Beautiful, so smooth. It was a bit on the expensive side (with starters, wine and mains for 4, it was around £100), but worth it for a special occasion.
