We have stayed a few times at the Avondale over the last two years and have noticed the fantastic improvement that Martin and Jane have made. Not just in the overall stardard of the hotel, but in small things that you don't always expect to get when staying in non-group hotels, such as bottles of still water in the bedrooms, large, good quality towels, and a comprehensive range of shower gells and soaps etc. The Home's welcome is second to none, always friendly and attentive, as are their excellent staff.
The hotel is very clean and tidy, and we have noticed and approved of their interior refurbishments.
Finally the breakfasts, good quality, and well cooked, even the choice of smoked salmon and scambled eggs!
Overall very good value and an excellent place to lay ones head.
