We were staying at the nearby Caclot Manor and decided to go out for the night. The Trouble House is run by a husband and wife team who both used to work at Calot.

There has a bar area where you wouldn't feel out of place having a pint, and a seperate eating area which is set out in a smart but informal way. They had just started to offer all wines by the glass so we were able to drink some of the better wines of the wine menu without having to buy a whole bottle - a really nice idea as there were only two of us. The food was good quality and value, the service friendly and attentive, and all round we had a great evening.

After driving past the Trouble House almost weekly for ages now and never having tried it my husband and I eventually rectified this by visiting for my birthday dinner. Now we are just annoyed we didn't go sooner! Wonderful professional friendly staff, cosy atmosphere, and of course fantastic food. Excellent value for money and easy to park. Perfect!

The recent new owners of this pub / restaurant Shane & Liam really have lifted the quality and most importantly value for money of their menu beyond most local competition in my opinion. And that means a lot when one considers how many quality pubs there are in the Cotswolds. I highly recommend you try their menu for lunch or dinner - you will not be disappointed.

We stumbled across this pub, and pleased that that we stopped. Friendly staff, and huge selection of food. Fairly reasonable, but very scrumptious!
