From my first telephone call to the moment we left this stay was a real pleasure. The owners have balanced the need for a high standard of accommodation and service whilst still maintaining a personal touch. Everything is spotless and the accommodation is as good as any 4/5* hotel we have ever stayed in. Breakfast was superb. The walk into Winchester takes about 10 minutes and there is a wide choice of restaurants.

We stayed at Giffard House for two nights over May Bank Holiday. Excellent B&B which was spotlessly clean, well maintained and with very welcoming staff. The standards are better than a lot of hotels and the rooms are very comfortable with all amenities that could possibly be required. The breakfast are well cooked and presented in a very pleasant dining room. It was a short walk into Winchester, which is beautiful, and we found two and half days plenty of time to exlore the area and the recommended tourist areas. We would gladly stay at Giffard House if we were to return to Winchester.

Stayed for 1 night for our wedding anniversary. We chose the kingsize - well worth the small extra for a lovely bath! Gorgeous room, very comfortable and spotless! Excellent breakfast. All made us feel very welcome. Short walk into Winchester and we were advised of the partial prettier route alongside the flint wall which takes you to the Cathedral - stopped at The Old Vine for lunch - excellent.
Would recommend Giffard House Hotel to anyone - excellent value!

Short walk to town centre. Clean and comfortable. Excellent shower. Would be happy to stay again in the future.
