Visited this hotel in april of 2008 just for a one night stay. The hotel lobby was bright and very modern. The reception staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. The hotel rooms were well decorated,in good order and very clean. We ate with friends in the hotel restaurant and found the meal to be of a good standard, the staff very efficient and very helpful. Both the restaurant manager and assistant restaurant manager checked to see if everything was ok with us.Even though the restaurant was full, nothing was too much trouble. The bar area was large clean and comfortable.Breakfast was good, lots of choice. We would not hesitate to visit this hotel again.,

We stayed for 2 nights in April in the main part of the hotel on a deal which included bed breakfast and one dinner in their main restaurant Scene. It was booked very last minute as a well needed weekend away. The room is small (but not too bad if you are only going for a weekend) and nicely decorated with a good bathroom and a nice shower. The only problem we had with the room was we were woken by the conversation of the girls staying in the next door room - this may have been because they had been at a party in the Manor section of the hotel and I think were quite drunk! The rest of the hotel is nice if a little corporate. The pool is nice but the fragrance shower was out of order which was a shame. Our dinner allowance was £25 per person (food only) which was fine for us but the portions weren't huge and if we hadn't had this deal I would have thought it incredibly over priced for the quality of ingrediants used (wine starts from £16.50 for a very average bottle and one feels they are marking the wine up to absorb some of the offer). Breakfast was large and not bad - on the first day the toast took forever to arrive but was quicker on the second (as an aside they bring out "fresh toast" that is already stone cold why not just have a very large toaster/s for guests to use).

The area is beautiful and only 15 mins to Winchester and we spent most of our time exploring the local area and the pubs which was great fun. As a weekend away it was good value and the staff were very helpful. I am not sure if I would go back in a hurry but then I don't usually book things that last minute when there is little choice. It was an enjoyable stay overall and I would recommend it as a good last minute escape just don't expect a unique experiance.

Stayed overnight in Manor House, room 3 'Daffodil' which was big, spacous, had fabulous views and great decor. Bathroom was nice, only problem was getting in and out of the bath, as the sides were very high and there is no separate shower.
We woke up too late for breakfast, but had a nice suprise when we saw that tea/coffee was available in entrance hall downstairs, with croissants, biscuits and fresh fruit. Reception Staff and Housekeeping were very friendly. Had a facial in the Spa and even though a regular bedroom was used as a Treament room, it was still very relaxing.
We joined QHotels Breakaway club before this visit and it was very good valiue for money, with chocolates and wine waiting for us in the room.
We will definitely be returning and stay longer next time.

My fiance and I booked our accommodation directly with the hotel, after having read good reviews about it on laterooms.com We were not disappointed - in fact, we did not want to leave. We paid £79.50 per night to include breakfast for the two of us, and we stayed in the Tulip room, a superior room in the Manor House, which is a few hundred metres from the main part of the hotel. Our room was huge, and lavishly decorated, with plenty of storage, a very modern bathroom and fantastic views over Norton Park's beautifully manicured grounds.

The reception staff were exceptionally helpful, as were the staff in the restaurant. The evening meal in Scene restaurant is not cheap (we paid £68 for a two course meal for two with a glass of wine each) but it is well worth the money - I can recommend the corn-fed chicken supreme, and my fiance loved the duo of duck. We were very impressed with the ease in which the restaurant could be converted between a welcoming breakfast room in the mornings, and a stylish and intimate restaurant in the evenings. The selection at breakfast time was vast - fruit, cheeses, cold meats, cereals, bread, pastries, and the traditional English breakfast items were all there in vast quantities, being regularly refilled.

We did not have any treatments in the spa, but the Reflections staff were very friendly when we went to use the swimming pool everyday.

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough - if you're looking for somewhere that's sophisticated and smart but still friendly and un-pretentious in some beautiful grounds, I strongly recommend you book this hotel. Hopefully my photos will give you an idea of exactly what we experienced at Norton Park. Magic.

I stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend on the weekend of 1st March. I have to say we were both pleasantly surprised.
We arrived on the Friday night and had a room in the new block. This is away from the main building but it's now a covered walkway and is just a minutes walk away. The room was very modern and clean and while it wasn't a huge room it suited our needs. I noticed there's no air-con which is fine in March but they only have fans so probably wouldn't be great during a hot summer. Surprising for such a new block in the hotel.
The leisure facilities were great especially when visited outside the kids time!
Breakfast was great - big selection inc full English, continental, etc but we did make the effort to get down there before 9am each day so had no problems being seated and served!
The only disappointment was the evening meal on the Friday at the hotel. The food was fairly average, the portions were miniscule (I've eaten in nice restaurants where the portion is small but this was something else). The service during dinner was also very slow despite not being very busy and we left the restaurant after 3 courses still really hungry - not good! We did the 2 night package inc dinner the first night but it wasn't good value for money! Thank goodness the brekkie was better!
The Saturday night we visited the Coach & Horses down the road and had a good meal there. It's mainly the usual pub fare with a specials board but we really enjoyed it.
Norton Park is ideal for a chill out and we liked it overall.
