My girlfriend and I joined the Canterbury Ghost Tour on Saturday. We both thought it was full of interesting tales around various sites of shockingly macabre events over hundreds of years in Canterbury city centre. It was a large group (obviously popular) made up of many nationalities (Brits, French, German, Hungarian and even a Canadian) and all ages. Tour leader John was a real star. He articulated his stories very well, combining the sinister side with a good flow of humour. He made sure that all the non-English speakers understood the story (with his own blend of Franglais etc) and also that the youngsters were kept interested. He made a point of making many of us participate (especially us taller Dads) which was funny. All in all, great lighted hearted fun and a lovely way to spend a balmy summer evening. I'd certainly recommend it to friends.
