Nice place to stay for a family as they have large rooms with two double beds etc. Otherwise nothing special but our impression after one night stay there on our way back from Paris was very good.

Stayed for 2 days, nearly booked out on arrival, towels missing from room, complained but the staff did not understand me, room was not clean, Free WiFi did not work the signal was that low I had to stand in the corridor to get connected! for a 4 star rating we thought the hotel was poor and overpriced, My wife works in a 5 star hotel and agreed with me. Will not be staying there or any Ramada Hotel in the UK.

We stayed the night before our Norwegian Cruise at the Ramada Dover. We were a little worried, because we had read reviews that lamented its inconvenient location with regard to restaurants and entertainment and such. However, we booked late, so the more central locations had no rooms available. And ultimately, we were very glad to have ended up at the Ramada. The rooms were quite clean and nice and restful--and really a good size. The bathrooms were nice, the showers good, the beds comfy. The Ramada has a nice coffee and tea bar where you can have snacks, and a very good restaurant. I was traveling with my husband and my mother, and we all three had excellent dinners there. The thing is: they have the most fabulous Indian food! Regular stuff too (my mom isn't a fan of Indian food, but she was happy as well)--but the chef is great with the Indian food, so if you're a fan, you'll be most happy. I think it would be worth traveling from other inns in the area to eat there! We were starving as one always is after an overseas trip, and this great meal was quite welcome. We also had breakfast there the next day, and it was quite good. The only problem with the Ramada is that for Americans at least, since the dollar is totally in the basement, it's a smidge pricey--both the room and the restaurant. So the room, marked at about 139.00 in pounds sterling, ended up costing us $207.00 USD. Breakfast for the three of us cost more than $60.00 USD. But alas, the Ramada can't really help us out with that--in sterling, it's all probably a pretty decent deal. We were overall quite happy with our stay there and had no complaints; it's a nice restful way to spend the night before your cruise. You will have to get a cab to the cruise terminal the next morning--easy and fast service, though, and only about 10 pounds. We didn't complain. Thumbs up. SMS

Stayed here one night on business. Hotel had been booked 2 weeks previously by my companys travel people.
I was seriously delayed on the train and rang to tell the hotel, who said they had no notification of my booking!! I spent 25 minutes ringing my office getting someone to find my confirmation number. I rang the hotel back, who still couldn't find my confirmation even with the boking reference! I had an anxious 2 hour journey not knowing if I had a room for the night.
I arrived at the hotel at 21:15, booking went quite smoothly as I was in person, but the receptioist asked me what time I was checking out the next morning as there was maintenance bein carried out from 08:30. I advised that I would be vacating by this time. In any case, I left at 09:00 and there was no sign of work in progress.
I asked for dinner and was told it finished at 21:30, I pointed out that the information all stated 22:00 and was pointed in the direction of the restaurant. The maitre d' conferred with the chef and a very nice dinner was provided.
No complaints about my room (which was very close to reception), the room was comfortable, clean and well furnished. there was no noise or disturbance.
Breakfast was plentiful for those wishing to partake, a very good continental and cooked selection, the chef was very disappointed that I didn't want to try his eggs "cooked to order" :)
Overall a fairly enjoyable stay for one night. It was a little far out of town though (£8 for a taxi from the station) and not sure how it would be for a tourist for proximity to attractions.
The bar looked okay and there was a nice costa coffee lounge.
A shaky start, but the facilities redeemed the situation.

My wife and I rented a car at Gatwick airport and drove to this hotel. We stayed 2 nights.
Check in was uneventful. Room was nice, roomy and clean. Restaurant and bar were above the norm except service in the restaurant was unusually slow even thought there were few diners. Food was very good though expensive by US standards. Staff was very friendly and competent.
My wife and I have stayed in many hotels in the UK and this one was one of the nicest for the price of $138 per night.
We would stay there again.
