I have just returned from spending my fourth weekend at this Hotel in four years, the staff are great, the pool and gym are small but good, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the buffet breakfasts are WONDERFUL. I have only eaten twice in the hotel restaurant during the evening and although the meal wasn't cheap, the food and service was good. It is close to the city centre for shopping and sight seeing yet far enough away from the street noise you get in some hotels I've stayed in in Hull.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn for one night on business. The bed was comfortable, linens clean. The shower and bathroom were fine.
Breakfast was very good - a good selection and high quality ingredients.
The staff were very helpful indeed, helping me to find where my meeting was located the next day and organising a taxi.
The rooms are very standard, as you'd expect, and not particularly luxurious, but absolutely fine for a business stay.

Took the kids to 'The Deep' in Hull (which is similar to Sealife). Also travelled upto Bridlington which was a pleasant surprise, good fun for the youg 'uns and nice beach
Treated well at check in..good communication and speedy..no waiting.
Room was nice and big, clean..everything you need really.
Central location which is handy..on Hull marina which seems to be the poshest part of town.
Kids went for a swim in the tiny pool...quite cute actually. No whirhpool or anything fancy like that, but they did have a sauna in the changing room. The gym looked good nd the staff were friendly and polite
Didn't eat at the hotel in the evening, we ate at 'ASK' just across the road which was fantastic..highly recommended.
Had a drink at the bar afterwards....not much atmosphere in the bar and the decor is a bit dated.
£139 for one night is a bit steep, but overall I was satisfied with the hotel

This hotel was ok for one night for business - room was clean and staff helpful. Just don't make the mistake of eating there. Dreadful food, honestly the worst I've eaten in my life. Bread that had spent 35 minutes being warmed in the microwave with a "french" oil dressing that tasted like it came out of a ford. A yoghurt dressing that really tasted of glue. And a lamb kebab that no steak knife can make an impression on. And it was really expensive (£15 for the main course) and all with really pretentious foreign names. Hull's a plain speaking Yorkshire town - what about good yorkshire food? fish and chips? Unfortunately the hotel's pretty isolated so if you arrive late its hard to find anywhere else to eat.
