The most enjoyable weekend with friends and family. Hotel staff could not have been more helpful and attentive, food was fantastic and the weather amazing. Certainly recommend and return

I have just returned from a midweek break at the Hotel with my wife and two dogs. In my working days I stayed at many first class hotels in the nature of my business but I can honestly say that this hotel had everything. The most pleasant and willing staff I have come across; perfect central heating with a log fire to greet you in the entrance; comfortable rooms; excellent food with prompt and pleasant service; comfortable lounges,and a genuine atmosphere of warmth and welcome. We shall return!!

My visit in March was one of many I have paid to this hotel. The food is amazing, the rooms large and airey and spotlessly clean and the staff friendly to the extreme. Set in idyllic surroundings the hotel is the best value for money I know in the whole country let alone the Lake District.
I am going back for another week in August - can't wait.

This is a very comfortable hotel run by very friendly owners and staff.Rooms are very well equipped,with good bathrooms.The half board tariff is excellent value as the breakfasts and dinner are fantastic.An excellent base for touring by car or walking.Highly recommended.
