Hotel and room were clean. The staff were friendly, and the food was excellent.

I'm more used to staying in hotels where all the rooms are the same, but the rustic charm and the open fires made for a nice change!

We had a four-poster room which was nice and spacious, and the jacuzzi bath was excellent. The weekend dinner bed and breakfast deal with complimentary Sunday lunch was excellent value. The dinners alone were worth most of the price.

The wife loved it. We'll definitely be going back, and getting the child looked after by the grand-parents again!

I have just returned from a midweek break at the Hotel with my wife and two dogs. In my working days I stayed at many first class hotels in the nature of my business but I can honestly say that this hotel had everything. The most pleasant and willing staff I have come across; perfect central heating with a log fire to greet you in the entrance; comfortable rooms; excellent food with prompt and pleasant service; comfortable lounges, and a genuine atmosphere of warmth and welcome. We shall return!!
