“Relaxing and Friendly!”

Skelwith Bridge Hotel

We booked the hotel having read the previous reviews and stayed for two nights. Overall it is a very pleasant hotel - friendly staff, clean rooms and a good location in the Lakes. The food was very good, plenty of choice and good sized portions. Maybe slightly lacking in flair, but looked to be popular with the guests.

The majority of guests are of an older generation; nothing wrong with that, though probably not the place for a honeymoon get-away or similar!

Overall I would highly recommend this hotel, especially if you are looking for a bit of old fashioned service and comfort...!

Just returned from a fantastic weekend at Skelwith Bridge. The room was lovely with great views, very friendly staff and the food in the restaurant is fantastic (as is the local bitter on tap!). Will definitely stay again.

Centrally located to provide an excellent selection of walks. The staff are all knowledgable about the area and attractions and always ready to help. Topped off by great food and hospitality, what more could we ask for.

Once again another very happy time spent with the family at Skelwith. No matter what the Lakes may throw at you as far as the weather is concerned, the warm welcome you get from the capable and helpful staff, wonderful log fires and fabulous meals make you want to come back - home from home.

Thanks

“Terrible obnoxious staff”

We stayed in this hotel last weekend and had a truely terribly time. The staff were obnoxoius and rude and the rooms dated and unclean. For the price we were expecting a truelg magical weekend in the lakes but what we found was nothing more than a Blackpool B&B in the mountains.
