Stayed here for 2 nights with mum and 2 children. We had the family room and mum had a single room and we were impressed with the hospitality of the owners and the very reasonable prices.

It was situated in the centre of Ambleside so was very handy for the shops/cinema and obviously the walks.

The only downside I can think of was when we were coming back at the end of the day, opened the room door and the cat ran in and wouldn't go back out again. Had to get the owners, who were very apologetic, to come and get the cat out.

Would recommend to others and would definitely go back.
