We had a very plesant experience in this rather charming hotel nestled amongst the fells, right from booking the room we received the upmost service, nothing was to much trouble. We were advised on walks and local attractions from the lovely Mrs Bland.
Our room (20) was very clean, and even though we dint have a great view, the wrought iron bed and spa bath certainly made up for that on our wedding anniversary.
We spent the days walking the fells, and visiting local villages, and it was lovely to come back to the hotel, for a lovely cream tea, and my husbands favourite, sticky toffee pudding, in front of the lovely fire.
The breakfast was good also, my husband had his usual full breakfast, and enjoyed it, and nothing was too much trouble formyself, wanting a vegetarian breakfast.
The price was very reasonable for the Lake District, and you are very central to the walks, attractions and other local villages in the south lakes, it was very clean, and the service excellent. even nothing was to much trouble for the receptionist who was heavly pregnant at the time, bringing us cram teas in the afternoon.
I would certainly recommend this rather charming lakeland hotel.
