This is a 3 star hotel in name but not in the standards that it should be. The room we had, with the exception of the bathroom, which was modern and had an excellent shower, was very tired and very dated. The worst aspect of the room, and arguably the most important, was the poor quality and condition of the beds. If you've ever slept on a creaky sponge you will know what I mean. The mattresses were ancient and gave no support at all. The rest of the hotel was dated and down at heel, badly in need of some care and investment. The food in the restaurant was quite good- a small plus point and not sufficient to counteract the effect of a poor bed and an even poorer night's sleep. Overall, poor quality and poor value.
The staff were generally friendly- a shame the product they work with lets them down.
