Late booking-warm welcome. The street parking is on a hill and busy and the rear car park is small and involves negotiating a narrow passge behind a number of properties but Richard is on hand to help you to park prettily if necessary, and parking on market day is otherwise a nightmare. Some broken glass at the back of the car park when we were there, but I don't suppose its permanent.

The room was compact but well orgamised and well decorated, and had the advantage of a small table and two chairs so you could pretend you were on a patio.

LIked the breakfast, especially good selection of first courses and as much coffee as you wanted. I'd like some black pudding next time !! The owners are agents for the Theatre by the Lake and therefore helpful in working bookings around plays. Highly recommended.

My wife and I went to stay at the Dunsford purely based on reading the reviews on this site. We had an absolutely fabulous stay. The rooms were clean and fresh. The breakfast was exquisite and plentiful. Richard and Linda were friendly and helpful but not intrusive in the slightest; they had the balance just right. The Guest House is just off the main Kewick Street, so you can walk to the town centre in 2 minutes. We hope to stay again in the near future.

We are so glad we stayed at the Dunsford Guest House this summer. The location was most convenient to everything in the area. There was even an off street parking area. The rooms were spotless and both Richard and Linda were great hosts with a helpful and friendly attitude. They gave us many ideas of places to see along with great places to eat. Richard also prepared a breakfast worth getting up for every morning.

They also went way beyond the call of duty. My husband bought me a $400 camera for our 50th anniversary. I proceeded to lose it while we were staying at the Dunsford. I remembered stopping at a real estate office for directions. I went back later to see if it was there, but the office was closed. I told Rickard about my problem and he knew the people as they had sold them their guesthouse. We had to leave on Sunday and he said that he would call the real estate office on Monday. They had it! He called us at our next stop to let us know that he would pick it up and mail it to our home at no charge. I was so happy!

These nice people went out of their way to serve their guests. I would recommend them to any tourist traveling to this area.

A very warm and friendly welcome from Richard and Linda, the guest house position is just 2 minutes from Keswick town centre. Why stay in a hotel when you can stay somewhere like this?
