My brother and myself decided to go away for New Year, after a rather traumatic year for me. I chose this hotel from the content of its web site. Believe me this does not tell the full story. It does not tell you just how friendly the staff really are, how helpful they really are, such as fastening my bracelet for me. Not easy now I am on my own. All these little things added up to a truly memorable stay. The hotel itself is very comfortable , without being ostentatious. The food is wonderful and the staff in the dining room are exceptionally well trained. We would recommend this hotel to anybody who appreciates style and good manners. We look forward to visiting it again soon.

This hotel offers excellent value for money. We booked up a three day break at the Hotel and it fully exceeded my expectations. I was slightly concerned that it was only a 3 star hotel as I would normally opt for 4 star and above. However it was clean, comfortable and well located. We upgraded to stay in a better room (a select double) and was delighted with the four poster bed, jacuzzi bath and doors opening out onto a section of garden. The food in the hotel was very good and the restaurant staff helpful. I would not hesitate to return to this hotel in the future and would highly recommend it for a mini break.

alas as with so many hotels the restaurant service and the standard of the food in my opinion was poor
table should have been for our party of 15 yet it was set out in 2 tables the same as another large party on the same night
no communication from the original booking to the staff
orders mixed up despite ordering over 1 month before we were there hit and miss service everybody served at differant times
staff try to help but seems they just go through the motions without seriously looking at what they are doing
disco great fun which made up for the dinner the setting and general ambiance of this hotel are magnificent it is such a shame that things get spoiled because of staff motivation

We recently stayed at the Beech Hill Hotel to celebrate our wedding aniversary. On arrival reception staff were friendly and helpful and greeted us with complimentary coffee which we enjoyed in the spacious and relaxing lounge which over looks Lake Windermere.
Our room was large with french windows with an outlook of the lake. Beautifully furnished with plasma TV. The bathroom was of a modern, tasteful decor with a spa bath and seperate shower.
The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the 5 course, 5 star evening meal. The food was out of this world and served to us with finesse. All the waiting on staff were, again, friendly and exceptionally helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
We've been to many hotels around the south lakes but of them all, the sevice that is offered here is far superior to them all.
I cannot understand the negative reviews, we are coming back for Christmas!
