W e are just back after a one night stay and I have to say that we had a lovely time at the Beech Hill Hotel. The room was huge and had a fabulous view of the lake. Lovely comfortable king size bed, lots of hot water and great food and staff. I had only two gripes - the room got very hot and the radiator was very hard to turn off, and you had to be very careful not to get the bathroom floor not too wet, as it could be very treacherous on the tiled floor. Having said that, we had a great time and will definitely go back again.

We stayed at the beech Hill Hotel for one nights quick get away for a little break and change of scenery, and believe me we were not disappointed by the scenery. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by a very friendly and efficient receptionist who advised us that the room we had booked had been upgraded free of charge due to the better rooms being available, I thought this made an extremely refreshing change and restored my faith in customer service. The room was a very good size with the biggest bed i have ever seen, the rooms were exceptionally clean and the views over looking Lake Windermere were breath taking, our patio doors opened onto a grass terrace with chairs and because the hotel is on a hill side and the hotel is staggered due to this you are away from other occupants apart from those on your level which on ours I think was about 5, so you also had peace a tranqulity. We had a quick look while we were at the hotel at the pool which looked nice and clean although we didnt get chance to use due to our quick visit. All the staff that we met we friendly and helpful, and the restaruant food was absolutely out of this world with a superb choice to choose from to. The breakfast the following morning was excellent they had all breakfast foods that you could think of, cererals, breads, fruit etc and then a help yourself hot buffet of bacon, eggs etc, this was all eaten whilst sat at your dinner table looking over Lake Windermere.I would have to be extremely picky to find fault with the hotel but if i had to pick one, then it would be that the carpet in some of the main areas in the hotel could do with replacing but that is really all I could find fault with. My other complaint is that i couldnt stay any longer as i would have loved to stay for about 6 weeks !!! I will be going back as soon as i can get away. This hotel could certainly be our second home.

My brother and myself decided to go away for New Year, after a rather traumatic year for me. I chose this hotel from the content of its web site. Believe me this does not tell the full story. It does not tell you just how friendly the staff really are, how helpful they really are, such as fastening my bracelet for me. Not easy now I am on my own. All these little things added up to a truly memorable stay. The hotel itself is very comfortable , without being ostentatious. The food is wonderful and the staff in the dining room are exceptionally well trained. We would recommend this hotel to anybody who appreciates style and good manners. We look forward to visiting it again soon.

This hotel offers excellent value for money. We booked up a three day break at the Hotel and it fully exceeded my expectations. I was slightly concerned that it was only a 3 star hotel as I would normally opt for 4 star and above. However it was clean, comfortable and well located. We upgraded to stay in a better room (a select double) and was delighted with the four poster bed, jacuzzi bath and doors opening out onto a section of garden. The food in the hotel was very good and the restaurant staff helpful. I would not hesitate to return to this hotel in the future and would highly recommend it for a mini break.
