My boyfriend and I stayed at Cedar Manor last Feb as we both needed to get away from the hussle and bustle of London. I can honestly say, I have never been in such a relaxing environment and overwhelmed by the welcoming reception from its owners Caroline and Jonathan. We stayed in the Orrest Head suite which was a lovely size and the bathroom was pure luxury with a spa bath and fluffy robes. I felt very spoilt indeed, especialy when we were greeted with a bottle of champagne in our room when we arrived ,which my boyfriend had requested on booking. We were only staying for one night, so we wondered whether we should eat in the hotel restaurant or go elsewhere. I had read some of the reviews of the food at Cedar Manor and they were all true! What a fantastic chef! The seabass was out of this world and even my boyfriend who hates fish was tempted by the aroma coming from my plate. The service was flawless, some of the top restuarants in London could learn a thing or two from these guys!! As well as being reasonably priced, the standard of food and selection of wine was something to admire. I would definately eat here again and again. The locals have a gem right under their nose if they ever want 5 star dining. In summary, if you want a truely relaxing break, surrounded by some of the most beautiful views and luxury accomodation then Cedar Manor comes highly recommended. For such a small hotel it boasts huge luxury and fully deserves its rosette! Well done to the management, you have a gem that outshines most 5 star accomodation!

We stayed at this hotel last year for the first time and on two short breaks since. It is the most pleasing hotel so relexed and comfortable good value for money and you are made very welcome.
The food at the hotel was also worth staying for.

Stayed at this hotel, warmly and lovingly run by Jonathan and Caroline. Nothing was too much trouble, bedroom was wonderfully comfortable and food and wine was really good.
They deserve to do well with the effort they put in, a really enjoyable stay.

A fabulous cosy little hotel, with SUMPTUOUS food.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble.
We stayed in the Orrest suite for one night and would love to have stayed longer. The whirlpool bath/jacuzzi was divine and the separate shower a nice touch. The bed was massive and super-comfy. There was a separate little sitting room - this was handy as I was so sated and relaxed after dinner that I chose to lie down and doze; whereas my husband stayed up later and took advantage of the wall mounted plasma screen TV & DVD player next door without disturbing me.
My only teeny tiny gripe is that the furniture in the sitting room was very uncomfortable, it was cane furniture akin to what you might find in a conservatory and no good for chilling out.
Other than that a perfectly relaxing night away with top quality food (both dinner & breakfast)- really good for the soul.
Would definitely go back ;-)
