Rosemount is an excellent B & B located between Bowness and Windermere not far from the lake. I found the room bright, clean and comfortable and the owners very friendly and likeable. Best of all was an excellent English breakfast with local free-range ingredients - far better than you get in far more expensive hotels. It's great value as well and I highly recommend it.

Nothing is too much trouble for the friendly yet laid back owners of Rosemount - we had a fab time and will definitely be back soon. How refreshing to stay with intelligent people who leave their guests to enjoy themselves and do not try to direct and push people into doing things they don't want to do - or encouraging them to eat at restaurants clearly owned by their friends.

Contrary to previous post, we can only say how much we enjoyed our stay at the 'Rosemount'. The room was clean and spacious with a four poster bed,very clean modern bathroom with huge bath, jovial and caring host who served up a super breakfast each morning. Loved those sausages!

We had a lovely time in Windermere and our hotel stay complimented it, we had a cozy comfortable decent sized room with plenty of storage space, it was clean and nicely decorated, the on-suite also had plenty of room with a large hot shower.
The breakfast was filling with plenty of choice to set you up for the day.
Rosemount is set in an ideal location, with short walking distances to both villages and lots of lovely country trails. The train station if only twenty minutes away if your on foot, alternatively there are plenty of taxis available.
On the last day we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel for a few hours, which was great because we could enjoy another day.
We would be most happy to stay at Rosemount again.
