We stayed in this hotel at the end of May. We booked a Four poster bedroom with a view it was lovely. The breakfast was great one of the best we've had. We eat in the restaurant one night it was really nice good food. The bar is so relaxing. The only fault I would give this place is there is no lift and the car park is down a slop but I wouldn't let this stop me going there again I throughly enjoyed my stay.

well what can i say well worth the trip to the lakes and to stay in this hotel was the icing on the cake. our rooms overlooked the lake and were spacious and well appointed. the staff very helpful and polite nothing was to much trouble.we had some good banter with them which added to the stay as boring staff are no fun at all.
i would say stay its well worth it

We have just returned back from the Applegarth Hotel and are already planning our next visit. We read all the reports before we went and decided to see for ourselves and we are so glad that we did. This is a family run hotel and they are all so hard-working to ensure that guests have a wonderful and relaxing time. The rooms are spotlessly clean and well maintained as are all other areas of the hotel and the food is excellent. There was not one thing we could complain about. It makes me think that the people who wrote the poor reports have either not actully stayed at the hotel or are wanting to keep this little gem of a hotel to themselves.

This hotel was FAntastic. Lazy days watching the rain outside while sitting on the sun deck sipping wine! what more can you ask for??

The staff were great, very friendly. The Room was lovely, we had the best nights sleep for ages in our Bed.

The food was great, the decore was lovely and to be honest there is notheing that i could fault!
