My wife and I stayed at the Wilton Hotel during October 2006. The couple running the hotel, June and Andrew were very friendly and offered great service. The rooms were well kept and the breakfasts were the tastiest I've had in ages!

We also did not have a problem paying with VISA like someone has mentioned in their review. June and Andrew stayed up to welcome us even though we got there after 11 at night.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and am lookig forward to staying there again.

The other two reviews for the Wilton Hotel Blackpool (Dickson Road) on this website (tripadvisor.com) are in my view unfair and must refer to one of the other Wilton Hotels in Blackpool (there are more than one Wilton Hotel in Blackpool). My wife, granddaughter and I stayed at the Wilton Hotel in Dickson Road for two nights from 11 August 2006. The room, en-suite bathroom and beds were very clean, the service was excellent and the breakfast was first-class. I paid by VISA credit card and found no problem with the free on street parking on Dickson Road. The hotels location which is on a street which runs parallel behind the quieter northern end of Promenade was ideal. Dickson Road is within walking distance of the Tower, however for those who do not wish to walk there are the trams on the Promenade which cost £1.40 for an adult and 70p for a child down to the Tower.
