I and a group of friends have just returned from a 2 night stay at this hotel. It is far from gr8. The hotel smells of stail smoke as soon as you walk through the front door. The rooms are far from clean. The floors are dirty, the walls the same. The fact that the hotel front door stays open all night is not safe. In the middle of the night we had someone try to get into our room, but then realised it was the wrong roon. This woke us up and unsettled us. Then a short time later when we had gone back to sleep, a couple (very drunk and aggresive) tried to get into our room. They tried to bang the door down. when we opened the door and told them to go, the women fell into our room, It took two of us to move her. The man later returend tried our door again. when we answered this time, he appologised and said they were in the wrong hotel. We were three girls in a room on our own, our friends split over three floors. As you would expect we felt unsafe after this. Our other frinds also had people try to get into thier rooms. I can appreciate that the hotel is a party hotel, but you still have a right to feel safe once you go to bed and lock your door. the locks are not exactly secure. The pictures of the dinning room on the website are far from accurate. The dinning room is very small, dirty and dark, some lights do not work. Dirty cups and glasses are left on the side, mixed with the clean ones. The breakfast however was not that bad. The hotel is in a good location which is probably the only thing it has going for it. The people who have reccommended it must have very, very low standards. I would not reccomend it to anyone and am supprised it is allowed to opperate. A friend in my group has previously stayed at this hotel and that is the reason we booked again. However she was as disgusted as the rest of us and would not stay there again. I have heard of cheep and chearful and no frills, but this hotel is not even that.
