My sister and I took our four kids to Blackpool and stayed here for a couple of nights. The hotel is quite small, but perfect. The two guys who run it go out of their way to help you with anything. There isn't parking at the hotel and the on-street parking only allows for an hour, but the guys managed to find us parking spaces locally and saved us a bit of money in the process and with four kids, it was much appreciated! The place is spotless and the food (we only had breakfast) is served in a lovely little dining room. Everything was freshly cooked and not swimming in grease as often happens. Everywhere is freshly decorated and you'll find everything you need. There's a bar downstairs, which surprised us a little, normally you'd expect to find a couple of seats and a wee bar, but this was just like a pub in miniature and very impressive. Overall a short but very enjoyable stay and would recommend the Derwent to anyone!
