I stayed here for three nights whilst attending a conference.

Good points
* The hotel is basic but a reasonable price and represents good value for money.
* The one member of staff I met during my stay was friendly and welcoming.
* The location is very convenient - just outside the Winter Gardens and only a 5 minute walk from the town centre or 10 minute walk from the Promenade and North Pier.
* Presentation and cleanliness are excellent and much better than many more expensive hotels I have stayed in.

Bad points
* The hotel was quite noisy because the fire doors in the corridors outside the bedrooms slam shut. This disturbed my sleep on a couple of occasions in the early morning.
* I was unable to have breakfast on any of the days of my stay because breakfast is only served 9.00am - 9.30am!

Summary
* Excellent value
* Friendly staff
* Basic but clean

The first thing to amaze me as we walked up to the property,was that a hotel of this size advertised a swimming pool outside, unfortunately this was closed when we were staying. The gent on the desk who i assume was the owner was friendly & polite when he welcomed us & checked us in.I,m not keen on paying in full when you check in,but that seems quite common now, & you have to expect Blackpool hotels to get loads of stag & hen parties,so I suppose it is to be expected. The room was what i expected from this type of hotel,basic but very clean with the standard amemities,the beds were really comfy & i slept like a baby.Breakfast was buffet style,which i much prefer,& was really good. Location is good,close to the north pier, tower ,shopping centre,amusements,& if you want a reasonably priced,clean,conveniently located hotel,without wanting anything to fancy,this is it.

I stayed here with 13 of my friends for my 30th Birthday. We were welcomed by a lovely family who showed us all to our rooms and got the bar open! The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable and the room size was fine. there was a TV in the room though the signal wasn't good.... but then who's watching tv when in blackpool! The breakfast was fantastic!! we all said we could have gone up 2 or 3 times! It was a buffet which is quite unusual for a B&B. The hotel is located very close to town so no need for taxis and they have parking available around the back.
So to anyone staying here, if you want cheap, clean and friendly accomodation and you don't expect the ritz but cheap bottles of beer and a damn fine breakfast then this is the hotel for you!
