“Simply the BEST!!!!!”

We have been coming to Blackpool for almost 30 years and found Number One quite by accident as we were looking for a bit of luxury.......and boy did we find it! Number One is without doubt, simply the BEST B&B we have ever stayed at not only in Blackpool but anywhere in the country .

The attention to detail is outstanding. The rooms are all fabulous and so are the breakfasts (all locally sourced products). We booked the family room, which is loaded with equipment to keep you entertained including a 42 inch plasma TV and a TV in the bathroom (our 9 year old son loved the TV in the bathroom, whilst enjoying his spa bubble bath). The king size bed and duvet were top class. Our son used the bed settee which was also top class. Luxury duvets, pillows and bedlinen abound. If you are travelling on business, all the rooms have wireless internet.

Claire is a fabulous host, very friendly and approachable and she goes out of her way to make sure you have an enjoyable stay.....little wonder then that Number One has won so many awards and all so richly deserved.

We would and will highly recommend Number One to anybody (we've already booked a return trip). If you are looking for something special, look no further, Number One is simply the best and worth every single penny (and more of the rates charged).

“Above & Beyond our expectations”

We have just got back from our stay at Number One St Luke's, we went for my partners birthday for 2 nights. It was the best place we have ever stayed in it beats any other B&B and even hotel we have ever stayed in previously. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we was treated like royalty by Claire the owner she is fantastic.

We stayed in the pink room which has a really romantic feel to it, all the furniture is white and quite rustic/country looking, the walls are white with pale pink flowers, the bathroom has a jacuzzi bath and a shower which both fit 2 in. The boys toys in the rooms are great you can listen to the cd player in the bathroom or in the bedroom or both, there is a tv in the bedroom and the bathroom and also a playstation 2. The room is freshened and cleared every day by Claire and the tea and coffee tray has fresh biscuits every morning. The room also has boxes with what she calls your survival kit and everything you can think of is in there which you may forget and the room also has a hair-dryer. It is just pure luxury.

The B&B has 3 rooms and every room is different in design but all have the same gadgets and special touches, I think when we stay again we will have the gold coloured room as the bathroom is out of this world in there. You also have a choice of breakfasts which you just let Claire know the night before what you would like. Our first morning we had the hamper delivered to our room and it exceeded all of our expectations it was an extra £15 in total (not per guest) and it was well worth it. Our last morning we had the english breakfast and everything was cooked to perfection and all fresh produce.

It is really easy to get into Lytham or Blackpool as the bus stop is right outside the hotel, we went into Blackpool shopping on the Monday, we walked there which took us about 20 minutes but it was a nice day and got the bus back which only cost £1.10 each.

Claire will go out of her way for you we thought, on our last night we had a take away and she let us use the dining room and warmed plates up for us and it is things like this that make you feel welcome and special, with the B&B being small you have a very personal service.

We will sure be going again and have even decided to go on our honeymoon in October for 3 nights as it was that special.

You must go to experience what we and the other reviews mean, the cost of £125 per night is well worth the money.

We have just stayed in Number One at St Lukes and wanted to say how fantastic the place is. Claire and Mark are two incredibly friendly and helpful hosts who made our trip so much more pleasant and staying in such a fantastic room made a huge difference. The attention to detail in this B&B is amazing and its really worth every penny. For anyone thats visiting Blackpool and wants to stay somewhere a little bit special then this is definitely the place for you. We would not hesitate to stay again in the future thank you very much for your hospitality. Dave and Denise.

“A real boutique hotel in Blackpool!”

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights in the newer hotel on the sea front rather than the b+b as we were taking my parents to eat in the restaurant there in the evening and it saved the walk!

The rooms were fantastic - each one different, but wonderful touches in design. We were the only people staying, so as you might expect the service was good, great breakfast specials and the co-owners were very friendly - lots of interesting stories about the hotel conversion

The food in the evening was also very good - excellent sized portions.

It was a bit on the chilly side the first night, but when we mentioned this in the morning, they upped the boiler temperature and it was great.

All in all recommended if you want / need to come to Blackpool but want a bit of tasteful luxury as well !

Number one Blackpool is an award winning B&B which was voted Top B&B in UK 2007, so what more can I say about it other than I have stayed here on a number of occasions and Mark, Clare & Ben have always made me feel at home. Nothing is ever too much trouble for any of them. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed, interior design by Claire is to a very high standard and all the boys toys are there to be enjoyed including a selection of CD's DVD's and games - oh, and if you get peckish, there's a good selection of crisps, cholcolates and drinks available in the fridge on the top of the stairs.

This is a bed and breakfast, so if you are looking for a good bed, these are the best, and if you're looking for a good breakfast - just tell them what you want and it will be deliverred hot and inviting at your chosen time.

They have just opened a new B & B just down the road, number one South Beach, and you can be sure awards will follow for this place too.

The rooms are excellent, the whole place is warm and inviting, and that includes the hosts, Mark and Graham will do everything they can to help you enjoy your stay. Yes it is a brand new venture, and the partners have clearly spent the best part of a million getting the place to a very high standard.

(If I had spent this sort of money on a place, to be honest I wouldn't want muddy shoes or wheelchair wheels traipsing all over my carpets as per a previous posting here)

The bar is now open and 2 beers on tap, with many bottled beers and a variety of spirits. As far as I can see the electronic door entry systems are all working fine and the hosts know now how to operate the programming of them.

I wish I could find something to moan about, as I love to find fault, but I can't, so I won't, I just know that the next time I'm in Blackpool there are only two places to consider, and they are both Number One!

If you can find a better B&B in Blackpool, I'd like to hear about it!

Keep up the good work guys - Oh, and when are you going to put a trouser press in?????
