Well... we are just back from Blackpool ( literally by half an hour! ) and i just came on to write a reveiw! Sparkles is now an adult themed hotel and the rooms were really nice! I stayed in the pink room which was really pretty and very comfortable! My friend had the room with the whirlpool bath. The room was really spacious and Sue is expanding that room even more! Sue and Graham were really nice and chatted to us frequently! Would definatley go back to stay! x

Sparkles Hotel is no longer a *child themed* hotel. We went to visit on saturday and its been renamed SPARKLES BORN AGAIN and has been totally refurbished. Its now an adult only hotel and its very upmarket with lovely rooms with jaccuzis and a very posh honeymoon suite. All the child themed rooms have been transformed, theres a new bar area and a new dining room. Theres lots of different rooms now ranging from standard to luxury and in the winter months its going to be used for retreats. Theres going to be a new web site soon. I,ll miss my stays there with my grandchildren but it looks the ideal place for couples and the prices are reasonable.

Considering that the hotel has only just reopened after being closed since May 2007 I'm not sure where the last poster stayed but it couldn't have been at Sparkles on Station Rd

I had a great experience on a pre opening weekend. The hotel has been totally refurbished and is now a boutique style with gorgeous bathrooms, private lounges and a relaxed atmosphere.

I would certainly return for business or pleasure, and wish the owners all the best with their new venture and look forward to seeing their new website.

Having read about Sparkles in the national press, and needing to visit Blackpool to see relatives and having two children - Sparkles seemed the obvious choice.

We stayed in the Dalmation/Cruella suite and it was truely shocking. Peeling paint, holes in the wall, just shabby. The children did not want to dress up in the costumes - they smelt. They did not want to play in the den, it looked awful.

Breakfast was mediocre. Mrs Sparkles was way over the top - and scarily so.

I would not return. Ever.

What can Isay my 6 year old daughter loved Mrs Sparkles and for the first time ever actually asked to go in the shower in the morning ready for Mrs Sparles to collect her and take her to breakfast fun!. There are lots of welcome touches in the room crisps, fruit, books, games and dressing up clothes and thsi is what makes this place different.

We will definitely come back sooner rather than later if my daughter has anything to do with it.
