The Cardiff Boys have just returned from a long weekend in Blackpool (Ross Stag) staying at the Strand Hotel.
The Hotel was excellent I must say, very modern, clean and hospitable with a great English breakfast.
I would definately recommend this to anybody else and would look to come back again.
The one complaint we would have is the Night porter, talk about stict reminded me of being back in School apart from that superb all round with top marks from the Cardiff Boys - Pink hats and all!!!

Well, 12 weeks on from our previous visit and The Strand came out tops again.

Jane, Aaron & the Team were as hospitable as ever.

The room was superb, the breakfast was always done to perfection and the evening meals were out of this world. If you can stay on a sunday definately have a roast dinner.

Having stayed at many Blackpool properties previously we have now firmly chossen The Strand as our preferred Blackpool hotel. And when you look at some of the reviews on this site for other properties, finding a decent hotel can be a problem.

If I were you forget the Hilton (just look at the reviews), forget the New President (again, look at reviews) and book into The Strand. The only problem is that if too many people find out how good it is there might not be any vacancies!

Visited with a group of friends and we had a variety of styles and sized rooms. We were all extremely pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms. I shared a room with 2 friends and we had a fantastic size room with sea views. The only down side was that we couldnt get the shower to work ( we just used the bath) but to be far we never reported this to the owners and i am sure that if we had of they would have been only to pleased to help as they were very hospitable throughout. The breakfast were amble and the bar open til late so after enough of the town we could finish drinking in the modern bar. All of us said ( and there were 8 of us ) that if we were to return to blackpool we would definately to return.

Had a wonderful stay at the Strand - a very modern 35 bedroom 15 sea view room hotel, which was very clean and modern and well taken care off. Jane Arran and Carl made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The food was out of this world and appetizing and not cheap food as is often the case. The breakfasts in particular were very.very good - a choice of cereal, fruit juice and grapefriut and a full English cooked breakfast with toast and marmalade and tea or coffee.

Our room was an executive, en suite. with tea and coffee making facilities and there was a flat screen tv in, a modern king size bed and a very good shower.

The upstairs lounge was very relaxing and there were comfortable sofas in there and a view which was very breathtaking of the sea, the same view was out of our bedroom window. The downstairs bar had comfortable seats and a huge flat screen tv in it. We had a barbeque one night which was really enjoyable - wonderful food cooked very well and tasty salads and desserts.

The evening meals were also very appetizing - the food was very good quality and very tasty ............ and was cooked very well too. All in all I cannot think that I have stopped at a hotel so good as the Strand - we have booked again for August. Thanks Jane Arran and Carl for a wonderful holiday!
