“You Must Stay Here”

Brilliant! A real find. You have your own bedroom and separate sitting room and a terrace of your own with views over Lincoln. and a lovely view of Lincoln cathedral from the bedroom. The hospitality is the best I have ever experienced and I travel regularly.I arrived for a one week stay for business. I was tired. I went to my room to find a welcome supper- olives, cut sandwiches, crudites and nibbles -what a welcome - and the service continued like this for the whole week. The house is decorated with style. You have the top floor to yourself. It is spacious, relaxed and peaceful. The hosts, Maxine and Ron are so friendly and helpful - a shirt ironed here , the internet explained and sorted, a recommendation for dinner etc. The small touches are what really make this a find- fresh flowers, fruit, chocolates, crisp white bedsheets and big fluffy towels. It would be an ideal spot for a romantic week-end, a treat for people on business and a superb location for tourists coming to Lincoln for the castle and the cathedral. It is billed as a bed and breakfast, but I don't think that does it justice - it's more like an apartment with friends living downstairs! It has only been open since April 2008. I'd start booking now if I was you! Oh .. this is my first review- I've never been moved to write one before

“Luxury B&B”

I stayed here over a Friday and Saturday night and could not have had a warmer welcome or a more pleasant stay. There is only one bedroom - with an ensuite - and great views of the cathedral, and guests have their own private sitting room opening onto a very pretty roof terrace. Plus a wonderfully generous breakfast is served in the morning in your own private breakfast room. There is a TV / DVD and sound system with a selection of CDs and DVDs. Lots of coffee table type books and magazines to browse. The hosts are so friendly but are careful to ensure you have your own space as well. The property is only several minutes walk from each of the cathedral and the castle. There is a car space but as I came on the train I was picked up and dropped back to the station - marvellous.

“Gorgeous Boutique B+B next to Lincoln Cathedral”

We were looking for a small boutique hotel by Lincoln Cathedral and found this by accident on Google. I'm always a bit cautious about B+Bs and also get fed up with big corporate hotels as I stay in so many with work. As soon as we arrived we were made really welcome and also had our privacy by the lovely owners Maxine and Ron. The place itself is amazing..It's just what you would see in Country Living. You don't just have the room to yourself but a whole floor and the private terrace overlooking the city was breathtaking. The £90 was fantastic value for what we had.
You also get a private little lounge with the terrace attached..sadly it was too cold to enjoy but will be lovely in the summer. The room was immaculate and we felt very much at home. The great thing is you are a stones throw from the cathedral and castle and right in the heart of the cathedral quarter. The bailgate has some great shops and the Wig was great for supper. The breakfast is also fab and we had salmon and scrambled eggs with a bucks fizz!! This place has only recently opened and has the wow factor and is in a great location...Would highly reccommend and will definately return for a little city break without breaking the bank.
