We recently were lucky to stay a night at the Gables, as we did not know the area and had no personal recomendations we were a little unsure about quite what to expect.
However we need not have been worried,as the Gables was a great find, good location, beautifully clean, lovely en suite with toiletries, excellent wardrobe space, lots of parking and a tasty breakfast. The owners were very helpful and efficient.
Overall a very positive experience!

I stayed her for two nights in November while working in Lincoln.

Jo and David were friendly and helpful and the place is spotless.

The beds are large clean and comfortable - The shower in my room was huge - There was lots of hanging space (with hangers!!!).

We stayed at the Gables a second time, having stayed here a year earlier, and being highly impressed at that time.

Apart from being a lovely home, with beautiful modern rooms, it is the little touches that help to make this an exceptional place to stay. Things like tea towels to dry your cups, face washers in the shower, and an iron and ironing board.

There are blankets on the bed instead of winter weight doonas, which is a really nice touch to all those B & B's who persist on putting winter weight duvets on beds, and wondering why guests complain about getting too hot in bed! It is nice ot be able to throw off a blanket if you are getting too warm.

It is close to several restaurants, and not too far to Lincoln. Dave and Jo are the perfect hosts, and they provide a great breakfast.

Having travelled extensively through the UK, I have no hesitation in recommending the Gables as one of only two B&B's I have stayed in that are of exceptional quality. The owners are tuned into the needs of the traveller, and this is reflected in the quality of their product. Stay there, you will not be disappointed. We will be back.

We stayed here for one night when we were house-hunting in Lincolnshire. The house was immaculately clean and tastefully decorated, and our room was very comfortable. The en suite shower room, with its double shower, was particuarly nice, and the towels were thick and soft. Breakfast was good, and the owners were friendly and helpful. Another point worthy of note was that there was ample parking for the number of rooms available - not always the case at many guest houses. We would certainly recommend The Gables.
