“Excellent in every way”

Creston Villa Guest House

Stayed here on business on 12 March 2008. Would not hesitate to recommend it.

Service - very friendly; owner picked me up from train station.
Well appointed and spotlessly clean bedroom. Good facilities (DVD, Freeview) and nice touches such as mineral water.

One of best cooked breakfasts I have ever had - 3 types of sausage from local butcher, home-made marmalade/jam etc.

A two night stay with Iain & Anna was truly excellent, a warm welcome on the friday early evening, followed by an excellent meal recommendation at the Phoenix Cantonese just a 2 minute walk away, set us up for a lovely stay.

We visit Lincoln every couple of months but to be able to stay at such a brilliant establishment, with all the perks of home - no visiting the off licence with a well stocked bar at very good prices.
It is good to see the lounge downstairs with no Tv (just in your room) as a welcome sit down after my wife dragged me (Joking) round both Lincoln & Nottingham on the Saturday.

A very cold glass of drink was the order of the day and then off to the Pine room, which has a sumptious feeling as you are surrounded by lovely pine furniture and get to sleep in the very very very comfortable pine bed,

I did not want to get up for breakfast on the two mornings we were there. I do so like te idea of having a later breakfast time at thee weekends - gives you a lay in and boy what a breakfast cooked by your host Iain....who even took time out to show Yvonne how he cooked her poached eggs...there will be no eggs left in our larder!!!!

We left them a little something chocolate to nibble on after we left. We were impressed so much we will try to be with them later in the year - once we have got rid of the kids- or we may take the offer of having the upper suites so that we are all together on one floor as a family.

If your looking for a welcoming short stay or longer this will and should be your number one choice.

“Fantastic B&B - Friendly Owners, Clean & Comfy Rooms!”

Creston Villa Guest House

9 Mar 2008

Just returned from a weekend break at the Creston Villa; It has to be one of the nicest places my partner & I have ever stayed! Iain & Anna are truly wonderful hosts and have lovingly turned their own home into a beautiful, clean, homely and welcoming Guest House (having moved to a smaller house at the rear of the property).
Our lovely room (The Pine Room) was large & warm, with bedding & towels that were soft & fragrant, a comfy bed and a spotless en suite shower room.
The communal areas of the house were beatiful & spotless too and breakfast was lovingly prepared in front of the guest by Iain and served by Anna, with a cheery smile!!!
We WILL be back for another visit, as soon as we can!

Our stay was the best we have experienced at an English guest house. The owners, Anna and Iain, were so genuinely welcoming and the standard in all things was excellent. The house has been furnished with loving attention to detail. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. There was a wide choice of breakfast food - much of it local and/or home made. Guests were free to use the kitchen to make hot drinks. There was fruit and cake always available for snacks. It is impossible to find an area which was not of a high standard. We look forward to our return.

“A wonderful weekend”

Creston Villa Guest House

12 Feb 2008

We stayed at the Creston Guest House for a long weekend, while visiting friends in Lincoln. A lovely warm welcome from Anna and Iain. The smell of lovely fresh linen as you walk through the door. We were shown our rooms, we stayed in the Victorian room which was absolutely beautiful. This was not ensuite, but this was no problem whatsoever. They provided us both with dressing gowns and fresh towels. Our friends stayed in the Pine Room which was just across the landing. The whole guest house was very clean, completely spotless. The breakfast the following morning was amazing, from continential to full english breakfast, juices, tea and coffee. Easy reach to Lincoln town, catheral and the castle. Louise and Del
