I will admit that we got a bit confused when trying to find this hotel as we were arriving after nightfall. Once found, we were happy with the place. The only real complaint I had was that upon arriving in our room, we found that the bedroom windows had been left open, making the room a little chilly. Other than that, I couldn't fault a thing. The location was wonderful...and had the weather been nicer, we would have gone for a walk around the lake before departing. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. And what was more, we got the room for less than £20 on booking.com as a last minute deal! Would go back if in the area again.

- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- The Blenheim Lakeside Hotel is a beautifully restored Victorian Villa overlooking the Boating Lake in Sefton Park, the largest park in Liverpool. It is one of the original detached houses on the perimeter of the park where rich merchants and shipping magnates once lived in style. Today it offers a warm friendly welcome, comfortable accommodation and quality food and drink which is served in Astrid's Bar and Michelngelo's Italian Restaurant. More modern history confirms that 'The Blenheim' was, infact, the family home of the fifth Beatle, Stuart Sutcliffe in the 1960s. Stuart's family continued to live here until 1970. ... more less
