We stayed at atini guest house for 4 days.
If you want to go out in London the location is not optimal. You can walk to the nearest station in about 20 minutes, or take the bus at 5 min walk from the guest house. The train goes about 4x an hour, and will take you to victoria station in about 15 minutes. To go to the actual center (e.g. piccadilly circus) you need about 1 hour door to center.
However, we did not really care about going out, and we loved staying here. It is nice and quit, and there is a couple of bars nearby. Also, you can get cheap good food and breakfast nearby.
To get back to the hotel from the center, you need to leave at 11 pm at the latest.
The cleanliness was fine, no spiderwebs or anything, and everything was cleaned every day. The towels were also clean, so was the bed sheets etc.
The only thing we did not really like was the quality of the beds. The mattresses were very hard, and you could feel every single spring. My boyfriend gave his blanket to me, I would lay that down on the mattress and lay on top of it, then it was ok. However, there were no extra blankets available so my boyfriend did not have the same comfort.
I thought there would be breakfast but there wasn't any. However, there were plenty breakfastplaces at 5 min. walkingdistance, so that was fine. You can cook your own food there as well if you want to.
The owner, mr. Percy, was very nice and helpful. We arrived early (we were there at about 1, official check-in time was 3), which was no problem, we called him, he came and let us into our room.
We weren't sure if we would like the fact that we had to share a bathroom but it was no problem, there were only 2 other rooms that used it, so it was clean and it was always available. We did not want to go to a hostel type of place, but this was nothing like a hostel.
All in all, it was good for us, especially for the price. The location was acutally a plus in our view, and the quality of the room was very good for its price (if we would have spend 100 pounds per night we would have expected better beds, but it was fine, especially for the price). So, we would definately reccomand staying here, although we can see that some people with different standards might not like it. However, those people might have a different budget.
