This is a great restautrant off of the main tourist drag of Oxford Street. The food is great (especially the Duck Spring Rolls) and the cocktails go down very well too. Intimate with a good atmosphere.

I was recommended this place by friends of mine who are regular visitors and I have to say I was not disappointed.

The food is a mix of pan asian offerings and tasted fresh and full of flavour.

I would recommend the Prawn Tempura, Steamed Dumplings and the Duck Curry.
Delicious.

All in all, a terrific dining experience. Incredibly cool decor. Options of a Tasting Menu as well as a la carte. We had an outstanding waitress who guided us through creating our own tasting menu in which my husband and I shared several courses of our personal selections from the ala carte menu, which is chock full of a myriad of temptations. These courses were brought out in a similar fashion to Tapas style, as they came when they were ready, so there was always a variety of dishes on the table at any one time, all of which were plated as it was food art. The evening was a celebration of my husband's birthday and we were thoroughly pleased with the investment we made in a wonderful evening and thoroughly enjoying the full glory of Cocochan.

My first time at this place during a shopping trip around Bond Street. It was pretty quiet in that there was only three table taken (including my table). Next to my table was another Iranian lady who was there alone and she ordered two plates of spring rolls and also a tuna sushi that she didn't like and sent back.

I ordered a starter of the spicy squid, seaweed salad and the spider roll. The spicy squid was okay and they had to tell me that the seaweed isn't available that day so I changed to a miso soup and the edamame. The miso soup was nice although the miso is actually the supporting ingredient in this soup as there as prices of the tofu, seaweed and the mushrooms in it. A bit plain but tasty still.

The spicy squid was deep fried and the batter was good although it can do a little longer draining before serving so it's not as oily and I was hoping the spicy came from the spices but it actually was from a dipping sauce called sweet and sour.... Not even spicy by any means... The spider roll was a ok but there are bits of the crab meat looks not completely cooked and tastes a bit soggy...

The service is good. The staircases leading to the toilet are very slippery, one must hold the handle when walking down and pay attention. Toilet was reasonably clean. Overall, not a bad place but I would not generally pay around £29 for my lunch and generally still feeling quite hungry. I would say for lunch, it's certainly not value for money at all with the food that's on offer. Generally starters and small dishes around £5-13 and the main around £16-£20 with 12.5% service charge for lunch - all are pretty small servings? Just not really seeing the value - that ought explain why there are only three tables at around 12-1.30pm when it's supposed to be very busy.
