To start with the only positive aspect of my stay: the bed was clean. The room was in the basement. To get to the breakfast room, one has to climb a stairs without a railing from the cellar. The shower is one floor higher, which means one has to pass through the breakfast room. The breakfast is 8 pounds; one gets a shade of the traditional English breakfast, though. The room is used to store two bookcases and several other pieces of furniture which serve no purpose. The rug is stained and there is dust in the corners. The main light has no shade. I was requested twice (in six nights) to leave the room by 8.30 a.m. and refrain from using the toilet facilities as the landlady's husband received a client in the room opposite. At 60 pounds a night this B & B is a distress and should be avoided.
