What a great place! I had a room at the back of the building on the top floor, up a LOT of stairs, so not great for someone with lots of luggage or who cannot do stairs, as there is no elevator. The room was spotlessly clean, and amazingly quiet - even with the window open it was calm and peaceful, incredible for the center of the city. The room had a wash basin, tea and coffee making, satellite TV, a phone, a fan, a safe (£2 a day to use it)and a trouser press (does anyone ever use a trouser press?), and was a remarkably good sized room for central London. I was greeted on arrival by a friendly receptionist, who also checked me out when I left 2 days later. The bathroom was shared between three rooms, and was across the hall from my room - I don't really like sharing a bathroom, but I did not find it to be a problem at all in this case.
Breakfast was served daily, with self service cereal, juices, coffee and tea, and hot food (bacon, sausage, eggs, tomatoes, beans, toast) served by young and friendly waitresses.
Overall, great value for money in central London, a great location, and I will certainly stay here again.
