Stayed here this past summer with a couple of friends.
We were in one of the garden rooms which opened up to the outside. It was nice to be able to open the window, and sit out in the garden in the evening.
The room was pretty standard. 3 comfortable bunk beds, modern decor, each bunk had their own large locker, (easily large enough to lock a large backpacking backpack in, plus more!), off to the side was a door which led to one room with a small shower, and another with a sink and a toilet. (Nice to have our own in the 6 person room, and not have to share with too many others). There was also a sink and a mirror in the main part of the room aswell.
Notice that when you check in, there is an extra cost of about 9Pounds per person/per night if you are not a YHA member. If you're going to be travelling lots i would suggest buying one. We did anyways since it would be cheaper over our short stay to do that instead of paying the nightly fee. (I found this a little decieving, since My friends had stayed there a week prior for a night and never paid this fee..)
Head down to the small cafe on the corner at the end of street for breakfast! Reasonable prices, and fantastic food. I would also highly recommend heading to the Blackbird pub which is on the main street. Its a fantastic english pub and highly recommened on trip advisor as well (I believe its ranked 90th out of 5734 in London). Their lamb pie is amazing, and they have great ciders as well!
