This is the best cheap food in central London, period. Fairly boozed up (!) with 3 friends last weekend, 2 x Minestrone, 3 x Pizzas, 1 x Chicken Milanese, 6 x glasses red wine came to £63, including service charge.
The joy is that the food is great. Where else can you get an authentic, super thin base pizza with great toppings for £5.50? Not at the rubbish takeaway chains, for sure. Minestrone was flavoursome and piping hot. The Chicken Milanese was enormous, crisp, moist, straight out of the fryer and declared far better than recently had at The Wolseley.
It's not swanky inside, and the service is slightly flaky, but it's always busy (unsurprising at these prices) and buzzy. and simply cannot be beaten for a cheap, unpretentious, but tasty meal in the heart of town.
