Everything about our experience with Barclay House was perfect. Charlotte, the owner was so wonderful to answer all our questions prior to arriving and then once there it was as if we were staying with old friends! Such a lovely house, everything was so clean, new and so relaxing! Charlotte was great to answer our questions and offer such great suggestions, helping us with directions and arranging for a taxi. The room was lovely, the bed so comfy and the bathroom...well I wish I could have taken it home! :) One of the best parts was how close it is to everything. Only blocks away from the tube and bus stops it made it so convenient. We loved being so close to everything yet being in a quiet and very lovely neighborhood. Several evenings we would stop by a local market (just around the corner) grabbed dinner and took it to the patio! Something you just can't do in a Hotel! We loved walking around the area, finding lots of great places to eat and shop. This was our first trip to London and we couldn't have asked for anything better! We hope to return to London one day and if we do, we will for sure be contacting Charlotte. Charlotte gave us a tour of the rooms downstairs (we were upstairs) and we might request one of those next time! The room we had met our needs but being on the ground level would have been fun too! The breakfast bar was so beautiful and we enjoyed GOOD coffee! We were usually off and running early in the morning so we didn't usually eat but there was always a nice selection. We have already recommended Barclay House to friends should they visit London. We are so thankful we found Barclay House, it was a wonderful experience!
