My boyfriend and I stayed at the Charlotte guest house for two nights and chose the Charlotte guest house at west hamstead as it was near to my brothers flat in kilburn.
If travelling from paddington, You need to get the bakerloo line to baker street followed by the jubilee line to west hamstead. Not kilburn , as the address on some websites suggests. We arrived quite late on the Friday and paid a deposit of £5 for the room key. We were greeted at the b&b by a nice guy who showed us to our room. The b&b offers wifi and also the use of a hairdresser if you forget your own! The room was a double with tea/coffee facilities and although our bathroom was shared , we were on the top floor and the bathroom was right next door so we didn't struggle to get to it in the middle of the night! Downsides are that we were only supplied with one pillow each which was lumpy and as the b&b is right by an overground station it got quite noisy in the night. Also the curtains werent very thick!
The shower was quite powerful and the breakfast room was like a little cafe, on a nice day you can sit outdoors, or there is a conservatory. There is a choice of English or continental style breakfasts and cereals. You can help yourself to cold juices. Staff are extremely friendly (all non English but speak perfect English).
Our bed was made and towels hung while we were out. The coffee facilities consisted of out of date milk though which was let down. There is a costa and tesco at the end of the road and as the b&b is 5 minute walk to the station .
I would definately stay here again (but bring my own pillow!)
