nice athmosphere, food is good but not the best Thai I have tried

Mango Tree is obviously a very popular place, and even though we had ordered a table, the staff managed to mix things up. After a lengthy wait in the bar with the highlight of the evening: a very nice caipirinha, we were seated at a big round table in what turned out to be an extremely noisy room. The menu card was close to impossible to decode and the waiter was of little help. The first guy we asked was the wine waiter who knew nothing about the food, which is not ok as wines must fit the menu. Anyway, the food nor the place was important for that evening, discussions were, but we might as well have chosen any other place. The food left no print in my memory and the place was a havoc for 2 hours but died completely when the clock stroke midninght.
You can't really call this place a tourist trap, as many locals visited the joint. More likely it a mirage of high expectations, good will and wannabee in-crowdness.
