Stayed for two nights and can't think of anything negative to say at all.Great location and the food was something else.If you stay have an evening meal...it was delicous.
The staff couldn't have been more helpful and it made a big difference to our stay.

Great hotel, one of the nicest I’ve stayed at for a long time.

Stayed at the hotel for two nights on a business trip. The hotel is basically two large townhouses linked by a glass corridor and the rooms are on either ground or first floor, there’s no lift.

My single room, although very small was well decorated, clean, tidy and well appointed. The bathroom, however, was very small.

All meals were excellent and the hotel staff couldn’t have been more helpful.

This hotel is a 5 minute walk from the city centre, a great location for tourism. There is free on site parking for residents. I noticed some mentions of road noise in earlier reviews, we had room 15, it's at the back so no noise. There are other rooms away from the main road, so it may be worth asking at the time of booking. Food was good, reasonably priced and served in the pleasant setting of a conservatory overlooking the gardens.
The room was clean and well presented, though the bathroom was on the small side.

The location is a bonus for anyone needing access to Norwich city centre, being less than half a mile from the pedestrianised shopping area.
The hotel is old and this is evident from the high ceilings, creaky floorboards and obscure layout, appearing to be two old dwellings linked by a corridor. Lots of free parking, a nice sized tv with very poor reception on several channels, a good breakfast, and a very basic bathroom sum it up.
Value for money? well £85 bed and breakfast is probably more than it's worth, and a Travel Lodge would be as good apart from the breakfast.
