I stayed for one night at BW Annesley House, and the biggest problem was how noisy the hotel is. The hotel is just next to one of the main road leading to Norwich, so there is traffic noise day and night. None of the windows have double-glazing, which could probably make a big difference. Also, you can hear people talking from the rooms next door (very slim walls).
Pros:
* Good location, about 10-minutes walk to the town centre (forum)
* Free wifi, internet connectivity in all rooms (although it is still required to ask a login/password at the reception)
* Free parking, in front of the hotel (so you can keep an eye on your car)
* Nice restaurant/breakfast area (conservatory and small garden)
* Friendly staff (although reception opened an hour after it was due to in the morning)
* Rooms with DVD players (possible to borrow some uninspiring titles from reception)
Cons:
* Noise from street and other rooms
* Shower with no enough pressure, difficult to have proper temperature
* Old fashion british decoration, particularly in corridors/public areas
* No air-conditionning
Conclusion: the hotel is OK, but bring your ear plugs!
