This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel - often the second visit is a disappointment, but not in this case. Good car park virtually next door, and 10 minutes walk to cathedral, castle, shops, restaurants. Clean rooms of a decent size, staff are very friendly and helpful, restaurant is much better than you might expect from a chain hotel and very good value (don't waste your money in Cafe Rouge!). Altogether a very good experience and if I come back to Norwich I'll certainly use this hotel again.

I found this room to be one of the better Premier Travel Inns I have been to. The first one with a built in restaurant / bar. I did not find the food to be pre heated, it was made to order. I found the secturity 'over' the normal. Being on the third floor, I had to go through some three security doors with my swipe card in order to get to my room. Not easy if you have several bags, but manageable.
The weather was hot, and because of that, so were the rooms. I did not realise until the next morning that the heater in the room was in fact an air conditioner. Turned it on and within 5 minutes they room was a lovely ice cold! So one improvement would be to put this in the information pack.
Premier has a habit of putting too many marketig signs all over their room, which I found annoying!
The parking was not 15 pounds, and on asking security there, it never has been.... Its £1 per hour, to a maximum of £5, so I only paid a fiver for 24 hours, which I think was very good value for money.
Suggestion: PARK up first before going to the hotel. In the St Andrews Car Park, on the ground level as there are always spaces there. Otherwise you will have to drive around Norwich for 20 minutes to get back there via the one way systems!
I found staff to be extremely helpful again.

Modern, newly built. Booked it in a hurry and then discovered id been given a smoking room. May be my own fault for not checking, but expected usually theyd ask you. basic re-heated type meals served in "restaurant" . Really nice Standard rooms, great location, good value, slightly below average service. Pizza delivery available to your room. Nearest restaurant is cafe rouge, and great pub Belgian Monk (Belgian Beer and great pub food). Jarrolds department store also has 3 cafes all these about about 5 min walk. Plenty of other restaurants tucked away.

New hotel, central location great for shopping.
Nothing to eat in the evening, everything is closed excepted an Indian deli and a very expensive Chinese restaurant (about 80 £ for 2 adults & 2 children without the drinks.
The hotel staff is not very friendly, a guy yelled at us because we used the wrong door to go out !
It's impossible to park elsewere than in the very expensive parking wich is next to the hotel : 15 £/night and you Can't get your car back between midnight & 6.30 am, the car park is closed !
