Myself and my partner stayed at the Lion in room 15. It was HUGE and gorgeous! a lovely big wooden bed, with beautiful antique style (I am not well up in the world of antiques so I've no idea if they were replicas or not) furniture!
People have complained about the noise when you sleep at the front, but it wasn't that bad (I live on a main road in the city so anything is quiet) I guess it's what people perceive, yes Settle is gorgeous and picturesque, but it's still a working Market Town (as visible on the Tuesday morning with a proper outdoor market!). I guess other peoples lives can't stop just cause we are on a romantic break away!
There were lovely smellies in the bathroom and we were given fresh milk in a flask when we arrived (perfect for making a decent brew with Yorkshire Tea!)
We decided not to eat in the 'restaurant' area (although it looked lovely and airy and spacious) it was a horrible rainy night and there was a roaring open fire, once we bagged the table in front of it we were reluctant to move from there!
The food was gorgeous and I probably shouldn't have forced a pudding down me, but as they went past to another table my ability to resist temptation wavered!
All in all it was a lovely stay and we can't wait to visit again soon!
