This was a post christmas, new year break for us, and met all our expectations with regard to service, hospitality, cleanliness, and quality.
we certainly relaxed and returned home refreshed, if not a few pounds heavier!
big thank you to all the staff at Dunsley Hall,

Stayed here for two nights in June '07, and enjoyed a faultless stay. We were made welcome as we arrived, our room was well furnished and comfortable, dinner was excellent, public rooms interesting and comfortable. We enjoyed being able to play cards in the lounge after dinner whilst finishing our wine.
All the staff we encountered deserve praise, and whoever owns the place should be proud of it and the job they are doing.

I only stayed one night, unfortunately. It was my Wedding anniversary. when i phoned to book, and explained the occasion. I was offered the honeymoon suite with four poster bed at no extra charge. The hotel is a fantastic old building, the year 1900 is on the reception door. The staff were all very pleasant and helpfull. i can only comment on the breakfast, as we went into Whitby in the evening. But it was great, a really good choice.
The bar was like a gentlemans club, big leather chairs. The only thing i disliked was the price of a drink. £5.20 for a JD&Coke, but the prices fit in with its 5 star image.
would i go back? Too right.. it costs more than your average 3 star, but you get what you pay for.

Spent lovely weekend here to celebrate wedding anniversary.
Staff very friendly and helpful even to the extent of allowing us to order our dinner from the menu by phone as we were late arriving & were going to narrowly miss last orders in the restaurant.
Food was well presented and prepared with a good menu selection. Breakfasts cooked to order, offering local produce (tasty sausages!) and kippers.
Great location for walks on the moors - to walk off breakfast!
Room perhaps more modern in furnishings than we had hoped, but spotless and obviously newly decorated. Would like to try four poster room next time.
