My girlfriend and I stayed here for one night midweek in April. I'd booked this one because of the good reviews on TripAdvisor, and thankfully wasn't disappointed.
The B&B is in the middle of nowhere really, so if you're wanting to get away from it all then this will suit you fine. It's a beautiful area, six miles from Whitby (a genuinely lovely seaside town, not like Skegness or Cromer). There's loads of hills around, so is good for walking.
You should be aware that there is a train track about twenty yards from the house, but I only heard one go past in 24 hours, and that was during the day.
To be honest, the room that we had (Room 6) was rather small for £71 - if I'd be staying more than one night I'd feel a bit aggrieved considering the rooms of four-diamond B&B's I've stayed in for far less than that. The shower cubicle was very cramped, and I'm only a slender 6-footer, so I don't know how "guests of size" would cope. Still, maybe we just got a small room. On the upside, it was decorated to a very high standard and felt more cosy than cramped. My advice is that if you're wanting a longer stay that you ask for a larger room than standard.
The bed was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent. It's nice to feel like you're eating in a restaurant and not somebody's kitchen when staying at B&Bs.
I'd recommend this B&B if you're staying in the area, unless you know of a better one.
