We have visited Whitby for over 30 years, when our usual guest house closed the owner of that guest house recommended Seaview.
This guest house is immaculate ,the owners Brian and Abby make you feel so welcome ,we just love the art deco makes us feel back in our era .the rooms are spacious and well equiped so much choice of coffees/teas even ovaltine before we went to bed .
Breakfast is special ,a huge assortment of fresh fruits ,cereals,
the full english wow what can i say you just have to try it ,the best we have ever had .
One morning we bought a bottle of champagne which Brian
cooled for us and served in an ice bucket ,a lovely occassion .
nothing is too much trouble for them they are so helpful with information on places to see and local history .
this guest house is one not to be missed try it and see ,hope you love it as much as we do .I am sure you will .

I regularly stay in Whitby and have done so for a number of years. Having stayed in a wide variety of accomodation I have found SeaView to be simply the best. The standards of hygiene are the highest I have encountered anywhere. Delicious breakfasts cooked to order and catering for all dietary requirements using fresh ingredients. Plenty of alternatives available for those who do not want a cooked breakfast. Superb rooms with flat screen televison, fridge, en suite facilities, fabulous comfortable decor and complimentary drinks. The attention to detail is second to none with binoculars provided to appreciate the spectacular sea views and ear plugs for those who do not appreciate the sea gulls- or a snoring room mate! The hosts are friendly and welcoming without being intrusive, nothing is too much trouble for them. I have already booked my next stay at the SeaView and am looking forward to being back there soon. SeaView- simply the best!

After being forced to leave our booked accomodation at The George Hotel because it was so terrible we had to find somewhere else to stay. We are delighted to say that we stumbled across the Seaview by pure luck and fortunately a room was available.

The owners made us feel so welcome! The rooms were immaculate and comfortable with amazing views over the harbour and Abbey. Care and attention was given to every last detail. The rooms had everything you could need; breakfast was outstanding and plentiful.

I would highly reccommend The Seaview to anybody wishing to have a break in Whitby, it's lovely and we will definitely be going back.

The views of Whitby Abbey from the bedrooms are unsurpassed. Every room is immaculate, clean and well furnished, with attention to detail. The owners are great fans of art deco and the guest house reflects this! They won an award last year for their garden.
The hosts, Abby & Brian are friendly and welcoming, but not at all intrusive, leaving you to enjoy the peace of this wonderful resort. As for the breakfast, it is the best to be found anywhere for the price, and cooked to order. They try to cater for all needs.
The rooms have everything you could need, all en suite with refreshments, refrigerators, TV and binoculars to view the ships in the harbour. Even ear plugs in case the seagulls' dawn chorus proves too much.
Highly to be recommended.
